Earth's 1st interstellar flight to Barnard's Star is under serious threat reports ESA Director Hugh Marshall. LIFE, the protest campaign aimed at a guarantee of human rights for the unborn, took out an Interworld Court injunction yesterday, claiming that the proposed star shot would infringe such rights.
As Mayflower is a generation-starship, the crew of have been specially selected for being (as well as experts in their respective fields) highly fertile and lacking any genetic disorders. The plan is that the crew's offspring will be trained from birth to carry out specialised operational tasks during the mission. But LIFE has taken the view that this constitutes a gross infringement of unborn infants' rights - a total of at least 157 children who will never have the chance for a life on Earth. ...used satellites, rental and retail ...astronaut's photo evidence investigated |

It is thought now that a small moon from the rogue planet, captured by the Earth's gravitational field, plunged into the Gulf of Mexico at that time precipitating a major extinction event. Since then its long, erratic journey kept it almost continuously out of observation behind the Sun - an unsuspected, if potentially lethal, distant speck in the sky. Observation last year confirmed the fresh approach of Nemesis and its now characteristic clutch of moons, some of which have an orbital procession as eclectic as their owner, has raised the spectre of a further global catastrophe. The abrupt extinction of the saurian dynasty can be attributed to this fearsome object. Now our own fate, it seems, is in the hands of the gods again. ...signals from alien spiders? ...space sickness cure ...explorers discover alien relics ...mega-scale artist interview ...invest in space infrastructure ...asteroid belt resources ...tribute to reporter |
