Terminal success by FAX droid #101
The spring release of sci-fi blockbuster Terminator 17 shattered all 1st-day box-office
records, according to 3WMPA global figures announced yesterday. This latest VR adventure had Megabank
receipts approaching 8.7 billion in Gc funds in those initial 24 hours, and at this rate the latest
sequel will earn back its overall production costs inside of 30 days. The epic did especially well on
the far colonies (picking up an 85 percent share), where much of the action is set.

Saving President Lincoln aka: Patriots in the Line of Fire (1999)
Stephen Spielburg's period thriller set in 1865 has top agents (played by Hollywood stars Tim Hanks
and Tim Cruise), from Pre-Crime Division of the Secret Service, in a race against time to prevent the
assassination of America's chief executive against demented actor turned lone gunman John W. Booth.
Ballistic mayhem of a climactic shootout in the Henry Ford Theatre is exciting stuff!

Apocrypha Now Rebut (2001)
This producer's cut is an impressive new version of John Ford Coppola's epic 1979 TV serial depicting
what could have happened in places like Cuba and Southeast Asia, if the USA had continued to pursue
its vehemently anticommunist policy of the 1950s. Contrary to familiar historical negotiations with
the Soviet Union, through the auspices of the United Nations, this monumental screen narrative
spanning 2 decades offers a mix of fascinating political upheaval and great personal tragedy,
exploring the potential for searing drama in an international "Cold War," and shows how
America might have suffered a humiliating military defeat in the fictional "Vietnam War."

Gone With The Wind (2000)
Highly acclaimed millennial remake of MGM's romantic epic set during the First American Civil War.
This is a lavish, colourful production starring Kara Delaney and Daryl Raskin in the roles of
Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler. Director Saul DuFrense meticulously recreates the period settings
but his insistence on the realistic depiction of sex and violence (shooting was halted for 4 months
when Delaney became pregnant, and the movie's profit margin was reduced by scores of "wrongful
death" suits following real life tragedies during the restaged siege of Atlanta) earned this
version of GWTW a PG-11 rating from US censors.
