Head dresser: unique Clara-B hats
by Pasha Verde

Millinery designer, Clara-Bella, opened her 1st hat shop on the corner of Barnum and Main avenues. A grand show of upcoming party hats startled guests. The small shop was set up with tables and chairs to appear as a restaurant where refreshments were served. Hat models sat scattered throughout the room.

Clara-Bella said, "My recent tour of lost civilizations inspired the creations that you see here this afternoon." When asked about her own tribal dress, she added proudly, "I am a descendent of the Horn-Toot tribe that emigrated to Earth. My outfit is a ceremonial costume used for celebratory rituals. Face painting in bright colours adds to the overall tone of my outfit."

(L - R) "Jester Spin" - centre rotates in pinwheel effect, bells optional. "Carriage Top" -
free moving joined segments that can be folded. "Neptuna Goddess" - cceanic hues,
additional aquatic shapes can be added to symbolic circular hook.

The hats modelled were all 1-of-a-kind creations using materials imported from Key Westerly, a small ocean side community of happy people whose main industry is the manufacture of colourful latex tubes in varying lengths for applications in the health industry.

"I noticed the very long lengths on my tour," Clara-Bella said, "And inquired about them. They were ordered by an interplanetary group of males residing in the Himalayan mountain ranges. The minute I saw them, my eyes widened. Then, it occurred to me that I could use them in the trade."

Clara-Bella inflates the rubber tubes with xenon and helium, then twists, moulds and sizes the creation to the wearer's head size. "Customization, is the key," Clara-Bella said. "Clients can stop in on their way to an event. My staff and I will create matching hats to complement their outfits."

This season's upcoming hat-line will feature bright tubular designs reflecting the legendary native Federation pagan tribes still scattered in remote global regions. Clara-Bella plans to expand her unique designs into a causal clothing line and possibly, shoe manufacturing.
